Hope or Lifetime Learning Tax Credit
The Hope and Lifetime Learning tax credits help make education more affordable for college students by allowing them to claim tuition payments and other related college expenses on their tax returns. The Hope tax credit can be claimed during the first two years of college only, while there is no limit to the number of years a Lifetime Learning Credit may be claimed for each student. -
