A. American Sentinel's status as a Title IV eligible, non-participating institution means you may be eligible for an in-school loan deferment.

Q. Am I eligible for Hope or Lifetime Learning tax credits?
A. Students enrolled at American Sentinel may now be eligible for education tax credits.
- You must be enrolled in a degree program for at least half time to qualify for HOPE. At American Sentinel that means you must enroll in and complete a minimum of 15 credit hours per year.
- You may be enrolled less than half time and taking single courses and still qualify for lifetime learning credit.
- You must have a 1098T form.
- There are other factors that affect your ability to claim either of these credits so be sure to check with your tax preparer.
