Bachelor of Science in Business - eBusiness Major

Program Overview

The eBusiness Major option within the Bachelor of Science in Business program is designed for students seeking to acquire a concentration of eBusiness knowledge within a broad base of business concepts. Students will acquire insights into the Internet economy and how related technologies have altered the way companies do business. In addition to exploring new business models, students will learn how to galvanize traditional organizations to embrace and appreciate the capabilities of new technologies.

The BS in Business program courses are open for enrollment twice a month.

Program Objectives

The objectives of the program are to:

  • Provide the student with a well-rounded education through the study of mathematics, natural sciences, social science, humanities, and communication.
  • Enable students to develop analytical and critical thinking and interpersonal skills applicable to real-world problems.
  • Investigate how companies are using the Internet to produce transformational change.
  • Appreciate how Internet and related technologies have enabled the development of new business models and opportunities for global expansion.
  • Analyze how the Internet can add value to a business and complement traditional business strategies.
  • Appreciate the online consumer experience and the new demands placed on businesses to manage this experience effectively.
  • Review the business problems that arise when implementing Internet-based business strategies.
