Bachelor of Science in Information Systems - GIS Specialization

Curriculum

Students graduating with the Bachelor Science in Information Systems, Geographic Information Systems specialization degree will have completed 60 hour of general education courses and 60 hours of courses in the major.

American Sentinel will develop a personalized schedule for each student that places them at the most advanced point in the curriculum based on:

  • the number of credits transferred from prior college study,
  • specific professional certifications, and/or
  • credits awarded for their life and work experience.
GENERAL EDUCATION (60 hours)
Required general education courses are shown in red. Some courses appear in more than one category and may be used to meet more than one requirement. However, doing so does not reduce the total number of credits required: i.e., 60 hours of general education are required for a bachelor's degree.

Note that students are required to complete 45 hours within the four areas of focus in the categories below. This leaves 15 remaining credit hours. Students can choose general education electives to fulfill the remaining 15 credit hour requirement. These courses cannot be used to fulfill Core, Major, or Upper-division elective requirements. General education electives may be used to complete requirements for a Business Minor.
