Academic Policies

Enrollment Policy

Students must enroll in their courses no later than 5 days prior to the scheduled start of the course. For details, see the Academic Calendar. Courses are offered as structured independent study to provide students with convenience and flexibility to complete their studies. Students enrolled in the MBA program: STR599a Strategic Capstone Simulation course has 6 required interactive sessions scheduled between the student and the instructor.

Late Enrollments

Students who fail to register during the scheduled registration period may now register for a course from the day after registration closes until the second Friday after the term has started by notifying their SSA and paying a $50 late registration fee per course. At the present time this is not automated, so students will need to use the payments page (LINK https://forms.americansentinel.edu/OnlinePayment.php) and select miscellaneous payments to pay the fee.

Late registration does not change the term-based refund policy. The refund policy begins with the first day of the course, not the day a student registers. If you are not able to complete the course by the published end of the term you will need to request and pay for an extension.

Registering late also does not extend the time students have to complete the course. Students requesting late registration must be sure they can complete the course by the last day of the term to avoid paying both a late registration fee and an extension fee.
