Leave of Absence Request

American Sentinel University's programs are designed to permit students to pursue their studies full-time while managing the many responsibilities they have as adult professionals. The University will, however, consider a leave of absence for a student who is experiencing hardships that make effective progress in her/his academic program unusually difficult. Students requesting a leave of absence are required to contact their student services advisor to verify that all university resources have been extended to assist them in continuing their studies. Students may reach their student services advisor by e-mail or phone. After talking with their advisor, students should submit a formal request that includes a letter indicating the reason for the request. The faculty chair of the program makes the final decision about granting a leave of absence. The request is not granted until the student receives a Leave of Absence confirmation from the school.
