At American Sentinel University, we are dedicated to transforming lives and giving back to the communities of our students, faculty and staff. Whether in conjunction with organizational efforts or on their own, many employees offer their own time, money and dedication to supporting causes that are in line with our mission, vision, principles and values. Over the years we have supported the American Nurses Foundation, American Cancer Society, Denver Health Foundation and Ronald McDonald House Charities to name a few – as well as countless food drives, holiday gift giving efforts, walks and supply drives.
Some of the organizations we have supported throughout the last year include:
Through our “Refer-for-Charity” program, American Sentinel regularly donates to The American Cancer Society. A nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, the ACS has regional and local offices throughout the country that support 11 geographical Divisions.
Through our “Refer-for-Charity” program, American Sentinel regularly donates to The American Nurses Foundation, an organization dedicated to transforming the nation’s health through the power of nursing. It is the only philanthropic organization with a mission to improve healthcare and support the 3.6 million nurses across the United States.
American Sentinel annually holds internal events to raise money and in-kind donations for the Denver Health NICU, which cares for 300 newborns each year who are in need of medical intensive care following birth. The Denver Health NICU provides newborns with onesies, blankets, booties and other necessities given through the generosity of Denver Health employees and other members of the community. Additionally, American Sentinel is working with the Denver Health Foundation to adopt NICU and Refugee families in need for the holidays.
Through our “Refer-for-Charity” program, American Sentinel regularly donates to Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®), a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) corporation that creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children. Utilizing its global network of 300 Chapters in 63 countries and regions, its three core programs, the Ronald McDonald House®, the Ronald McDonald Family Room® and the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile®, and millions of dollars in grants to support children’s programs worldwide, RMHC provides stability and vital resources to families so they can get and keep their children healthy and happy.
In addition to the above organizations, American Sentinel University coordinated a number of internal donation programs with the following community organizations.
- American Lung Association
- Children’s Tumor Foundation
- International Kentucky Refugee Program
- Dana Farber Cancer Institute
- Catholic Mission Relief – Ecuador
- Red Nose Program
- Mount Saint Vincent Home
- Food Bank of the Rockies
- Toys for Tots
At American Sentinel University, we continuously look for opportunities to transform lives and give back to the communities of our students, faculty and staff.
