American Sentinel University Announces “Everything you Ever Wanted to Know About Leadership in Nursing” Online Chat Series
Aurora, CO. The sessions will be led by American Sentinel University’s Provost and Dean of Health Sciences, Catherine Garner, DrPH, MSN, MPA, RN, FAAN, and moderated by NurseTogether.com.
In this chat series, Dr. Garner will shed light on four of the most relevant and pressing topics in nursing leadership today – How to Manage your Manager, How a Nurse can Impact Change, How can a Staff Nurse be a Leader, and How You can Lead your Safety Initiative.
“Leadership requires that you can create a vision, and that you can communicate your vision. Acquiring those [leadership] skills is particularly important if you’re going to be visible and effective leading strategic change,” Dr. Garner said.
She will discuss how to develop the leadership skills necessary to be an effective nurse while delivering top quality patient care.
