American Sentinel University Named Military-Friendly School by G.I. Jobs Magazine for Third Year in a Row
- Flexible Online Format and Military-Friendly Benefits Place American Sentinel in Top 15 Percent Nationwide
Aurora, CO. (September 23, 2010) – American Sentinel University has been named a 2011 Military-Friendly School by G.I. Jobs magazine, an honor the school is receiving for the third year in a row. This distinction puts American Sentinel in the top 15 percent of nationwide colleges, universities, and trade schools working hardest to further the academic success of U.S. service members.
With military students accounting for more than a third of its total enrollment, American Sentinel is committed to providing a flexible, accessible education well-suited to service members. In addition to military-friendly transfer credit policies, American Sentinel provides its active duty students a unique Extra Credit program. If active duty students utilize all of their 2011 DoD Tuition Assistance benefits with American Sentinel, they can take one additional course during the same fiscal year at no charge.
“We take pride in offering an affordable, world-class education to service members,” said Lt. Col. Paul Capicik (Ret., USAF) a 26-year veteran, former corporate CIO, and Vice President of Military Programs at American Sentinel. “Our inclusion in the 2011 list demonstrates American Sentinel’s focus on real-world work environments, online flexibility, and a wide range of benefits for military students, both active and retired.”
American Sentinel provides generous military scholarships that cover 100% of the cost of books and most fees for active duty service members. American Sentinel is also an approved participant in the MyCAA military spouse program, which allows it to offer up to $4,000 in tuition benefits for military spouses.
“Providing relevant curriculum for military students is a top priority,” said Lt. Col. Capicik (Ret., USAF).
