Each Friday we will be introducing you to one player on the American Sentinel University team. Everyone works hard to make sure our students reach their goals through supporting students and constantly improving our curriculum. When our students graduate with a relevant, innovative healthcare degree we all win!
Meet Deidre Galloway, DNP Program Manager, Student Success
What president (living or dead) would you like to meet?
President Barack Obama. He’s a great orator and with my background in communication, he speaks to me.
What is your favorite book?
That’s a tough one, because I’m always reading or listening to a book. I’m going to go with The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo or the whole Millennium series by Stieg Larson.
What is your favorite part about your position at American Sentinel?
Sharing in and celebrating students’ successes. It’s absolutely wonderful to be part of the journey.
If you had to give up a favorite food, which would be the most difficult to give up?
What is your favorite quote?
“Fake it ’til you make it.” I’ve used that mindset while facing challenging projects and often share it with new students. It’s rare that you’re going to start a new degree program with all the skills you need to be successful, so you just have to do your best until you do.
What animal would be your “spirit animal”?
An otter. Not only do they look elegant in the water, they always seem to be having a ball.
