About the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) Certification
The Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certification is for IT professionals who work in the complex computing environment of medium to large companies. The MCTS candidate should have a minimum of one year of experience implementing and administering a network operating system with more than 250 users and multiple physical locations, servers, offices, domain controllers and services.
MCTS certifications are designed to validate skills on the features and functionality of key technologies. Candidates can earn multiple MCTS certifications to show breadth across different products or build on the MCTS to earn a Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) certification.

Registration
To register for one of the MCTS exams, simply complete an American Sentinel application. Students who choose to pursue American Sentinel bachelor’s degree programs can receive transfer credits for the MCTS certification.
