| BSCS with Game Programming Specialization |
American Sentinel is now offering a Bachelor of Science degree program in Computer Science with a specialization in game programming (BSCS-GP).
The BSCS-GP
program provides students with both a broad exposure to the field of computer science and specialized knowledge in the area of game programming.
"The gaming industry will likely experience a record year, both in the U.S. and internationally," says Rick Oliver, in a recent press release. "With new and varied game consoles in the marketplace, mobile game applications on the rise, and the business environment's increasing use of 'virtual worlds,' we see job growth going beyond the past up and down, console-driven cycles. By offering a gaming specialization within a broader computer science BS, we can equip students to enter this industry with broad-based knowledge applicable to evolving marketplace demands."
Current BSCS students will be able to take the game programming courses as electives. If you are interested in these new courses, please contact Student Services for more information.
