Commencement Speaker Announced

American Sentinel University announced today that Gerald Butters, retired President, Network Systems, Lucent Technologies, would be the speaker at its commencement ceremony, to be held June 6th at the Lawrence C. Phipps Memorial Conference Center in Denver Colorado.

Mr. Butters retired several years ago after a successful career in the telecommunications industry, including serving as President, Nortel Networks Inc.  He is expected to speak on the increasing need for professionals at all levels of an organization to take a global perspective to their work and lives.

The Lawrence C. Phipps Memorial Conference Center was built in the 1930's by Senator Lawrence C. Phipps to provide business and jobs during that depression period.  The elegant Georgian mansion and tennis pavilion are situated on 5 and one-half acres of landscaped grounds in southeast Denver.  The beautiful landscaped formal garden provides the backdrop for some of the area's most prestigious garden parties.
