American Sentinel University is committed to understanding what students want from their school. After teaching courses, we think it is the most important thing we do. That’s why we survey students every quarter. Frankly, ASU is not aware of any other school that surveys its students this often. Too much - we think not. We want to remain current with student issues and concerns and this is the best way we know how to keep in touch. So, keep responding, even if it feels like you just completed a survey “a couple of months ago!”
Over time, we’ll change some of the questions, but for now, we are keeping the survey much the same each time we ask, so we can identify trends. One important positive trend - the number of students who take time to fill out the survey. ASU interprets this metric as real commitment to the school, and we couldn’t be happier.
The results are found at http://www.americansentinel.edu/docs/July08StudentSatisfactionSurvey.pdf. In general, student satisfaction is up in many important categories, while overall satisfaction is down slightly. It’s hard to reconcile this seemingly contradictory message, but we’ll redouble our efforts to keep overall satisfaction growing. Frankly, overall satisfaction is very high and has been for a long period of time. We’re committed to keeping it that way.
