What is Web Design and Development?

There are two elements to building a Web site - design and development. Web design is a subset of graphic design that handles the creative decision-making behind choosing the layout, colors, fonts, interfaces, and other elements of a site's look and feel. Web development involves the technical process of implementing the design, from writing markup and coding pages to programming complex internet applications, dynamic content, e-commerce, or social network services.

A degree in Web development or design is perfect for people who have technical skills, creativity and people skills. Students of our online Web Design and Development degree program learn through experience, building sites with XHTML, cascading style sheets, Javascript and DOM scripting. Advisory Committee
The mission of this Advisory Committee is to advise the program on objectives and curriculum, thus providing quality, career-specific education and other related services to students. Members represent different areas of the community (professional associations, industry and education) interested in the promotion and implementation of Web site design knowledge and skills. The committee consists of the following members:
