Program Overview

Apply NowThe Human Resource Management specialization option within the Bachelor of Science Business Administration (BSBA) program is designed for students seeking to acquire a concentration of human resource knowledge within a broad base of business concepts.

Students will explore and acquire insights into the relationship between the organization's ability to implement its strategic intent through the HR organization's functional areas like recruitment and selection, training and development, compensation and benefits.

In addition to developing HR competencies, students will gain the skills needed to manage change and performance management, as well as team and organizational development. Other topics that will be emphasized include the impact of globalization and managing diversity.

Program Objectives

In addition to attainment of general education learning objectives, graduates from the Bachelor of Science Business Administration program will be able to:
  • Apply sound management principles to the functions of planning, organizing, coordinating, and decision-making with respect to operational and strategic activities.
  • Evaluate and interpret legal and regulatory environments that will impact the firm.
  • Identify the traits that show the strongest relationship to leadership, the behaviors in which leaders engage, and the limitations of the trait and behavior models of leadership.
  • Explain how different elements of group dynamics influence the functioning and effectiveness of groups and teams.
  • Examine the factors and forces bearing on the leadership styles and the effect of change on the organization.
