Program Overview
Job opportunities in health systems management are expected to grow by 36 percent over the next ten years. Responding to the intense demand for education in healthcare IT, the online Master of Science Health Systems Management (MS HSM) degree from American Sentinel University is designed for professionals seeking the skills and knowledge necessary to develop and manage information systems resources in healthcare enterprises.
A national plan to create universal electronic medical records by 2015 includes a strategy to increase the use of healthcare information technology (IT) and to create national standards to digitize, store and share healthcare information electronically. This initiative increases the need for trained individuals to manage complex IT systems in the hospital environment. The MS Health Systems Management student will acquire critical skills in healthcare informatics needed to analyze information, design solutions, and manage information storage, transfer, and retrieval in healthcare environments.
The MS Health Systems Management program courses are open for enrollment once a month.
