American Sentinel University holds a commencement ceremony in sunny Denver, Colorado, on the last Friday of June. The evening beforehand, we host a reception for graduates and their families.
We hold our commencement ceremony in the beautiful gardens on the University of Denver campus. The ceremony takes place in the morning and features keynote speakers with backgrounds in education, business, health care and technology. Past commencement speakers include Dr. Germain Boer, Dr. John Bourne, Gerald J. Butters, Francis McInerney and Dr. Kenneth McLennan. A reception follows, which includes a graduation cap toss and many photo opportunities.
Graduates often make a vacation out of their graduation trip, heading to the gorgeous Rocky Mountains after the ceremony for hiking, biking, white water rafting, relaxation and family fun. Mountain towns such as Vail and Beaver Creek are just an hour and a half from Denver, and families with more time can explore further-away destinations such as Crested Butte or the Palisade wine country. For more information about all the great things to do in Colorado, visit the Colorado Convention and Visitors Bureau.
The 2011 commencement ceremony were held at the Harper Humanities Garden (on the University of Denver campus) on June 24th, 2011 at 10am. Following the event, students celebrated with their families and friends at an outdoor reception. For any questions, please contact the registrar@americansentinel.edu.
