American Sentinel University’s comprehensive transfer credit policy means that you can receive credit for courses completed at other institutions as well as for other prior learning experiences—such as professional certifications, military service, and life and work experience. We do our best to honor approved prior education and learning experiences. Contact an admissions advisor for more information.
Requesting Transfer Credits
American Sentinel’s evaluation committee assesses the credit transfer value of educational work completed elsewhere. There is no charge for transferring credits from other institutions. To apply for transfer credit, please provide the following:
- An official transcript from the institution where credits were earned. You may submit your unofficial transcripts while waiting for the official ones to arrive in order to expedite the evaluation process. Download a transcript request form.
- A copy of a course description for any course in the major for which transfer credit is requested.
Once your evaluation is completed, an admissions advisor will provide you with a degree plan that outlines the courses for which you have earned transfer credit and those you will still need to complete to earn your degree.

The certifying organization will assess a fee. The student should request that the report be sent directly to American Sentinel University. Depending on the program, applicants who have earned foreign degrees will need to request a general report or an expanded report from the evaluator.
