AURORA, Colo. – February 19, 2018 – American Sentinel University and the Colorado Hospital Association named Emily Fox, Licensed Social Service Professional, Supervisor, with North Colorado Medical Center, as a Colorado Health Care Star Award winner. This award recognizes Fox as an exceptional health care professional.
Colorado Health Care Stars is a statewide health care professional award recognition program sponsored by American Sentinel University and the Colorado Hospital Association. The program was launched in February 2015 to acknowledge industry professionals in Colorado who exceed expectations in the delivery of health care.
Like many organizations in Colorado and across the country, North Colorado Medical Center was challenged with implementing the Pre-Admissions Screening and Resident Review Program (PASSR) last year and Fox was influential in the process.
“Emily was instrumental in the success of implementation of the new Colorado PASSR form this fall,” says Cindy Reiher, Sr. Director of Case Management for the Western Region. “Emily worked with contacts at the state level and conducted training with care coordination team members from 5 Banner Health facilities to prepare staff for a successful transition regarding use of the new expanded form.
Reiher says Emily’s impact spans across many areas of the facility. “She has also been instrumental in 2017 with respect to updating orientation processes and support documentation for new hires to the department.”
“Healthcare professionals like Emily have an immense impact on the improvement of healthcare,” says Michael Rickart, Vice President of Partner Engagement for American Sentinel University. “She exemplifies what it is to be a leader and we are honored to recognize her as a Colorado Health Care Star.”
