American Sentinel University Names Newest 2017 Recognition Program Awards Winners

Quarterly Awards Recognize Students, Alumni, Staff, and Faculty that Best Embody the University’s Mission and Values

AURORA, Colo. – September 26, 2017 – American Sentinel University today named the newest recipients of the 2017 American Sentinel Recognition Program Awards presented quarterly to students, alumni, faculty, or staff that best embody the university’s mission and values in their everyday lives.

The recognition awards program acknowledges individuals for their valuable contributions and extraordinary achievements that serve the university’s mission to enable its students to enhance their professional and civic lives.

The winners of this quarter’s American Sentinel Recognition Program include:

Abigail Blades, a member of the Student Success Team at American Sentinel University, is the recipient of The American Sentinel Staff Recognition Program acknowledging her dedication to the university by mentoring the team about using new technologies to create student resources and making it a priority to create an incredible student experience for all of the university’s students.

Blades is passionate about staying connected to her students and providing exceptional service. She’s a tremendous value to American Sentinel and an undisputed choice for the American Sentinel Staff Recognition program.

Elise Webb, RN, MSN, part-time nursing instructor at American Sentinel was named the recipient of this quarter’s entrant into American Sentinel Faculty of the Year Award. Webb was recognized for her teaching excellence and ability to provide support and positive feedback for each student assignment and discussion post.

Professor Webb exceeds expectations to ensure that all students understand the course material and are getting the most value out of their assignments. She received praise for being encouraging and positive and providing quick responses to assist students with course work. Professor Webb’s dedication to her students embodies excellence in teaching at American Sentinel.

Each quarter an outstanding faculty member is recommended to be a candidate for the Faculty of the Year to be recognized at the University commencement ceremony in June 2018.
