Flexible. Affordable. Evidence-based. RN to BSN.
As a registered nurse, you pay attention to what actually works. So do we. The 2018 graduation rate for our RN to BSN program was 88%. American Sentinel is one of the first and few online institutions focused solely on healthcare. And most of our students are just like you: working professionals with full-time jobs, families and personal obligations.
When you compare our CCNE-accredited online BSN program to others, you’ll find that our program offers one of the lowest tuition rates paired with one of the highest graduation rates in the industry.
Your Degree, Your Way.
Everyone brings unique experiences to learning. Use yours…your way…to demonstrate your mastery of nursing practice. Choose the best way to earn your online BSN: a more traditional, course-based RN to BSN, or our competency-based RN to BSN, CBE Powered by SIMPath®. Both options provide quality outcomes and flexibility to fit your life and are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), 655 K Street, NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001, 202-887-6791.
But don’t take our word for it.
90% of our BSN students surveyed in 2019 indicated they were able to apply what they learned to their job.
What Our Students Are Saying
I feel I’m more marketable and knowledgeable. American Sentinel is excellent and flexible, and offers great support.
I absolutely recommend American Sentinel for lots of reasons, but mostly because you will be surprised by what you can achieve.

Yes. You’re a healthcare professional who wants to make a difference, but you have many obligations (work, family, life). You can now choose an online BSN program that fits your life. The traditional online RN to BSN learning format is more guided and progresses one course at a time (can overlap). Or you can accelerate your program as you show mastery of the materials with the RN to BSN, CBE Powered by SIMPath®.
No. This program is for licensed RNs with an associate’s degree or diploma in nursing (which equals 60 credits of the total 120 credits to graduate).
A BSN degree is becoming more crucial every day. Our online BSN curriculum focuses on the most relevant areas of nursing today: management, community health, strategic planning and more. Students say they can immediately apply what they learn to their careers.
Incoming students, on average, are required to take two general education courses. Find out how many you’ll need to take by submitting your transcripts. Students accepted to the RN to BSN program will be awarded 60 credits hour for their ADN or nursing diploma and RN license. You can also transfer in up to 30 additional credit hours (including the general education courses), leaving 10 nursing courses to complete your degree at American Sentinel.
Whether you need a BSN to keep your job or want to improve your skills to deliver better patient care, a BSN will give you more stability, flexibility and career growth. Nurse Journal states that BSN nurses can earn $8,000+ more than an ADN nurse.
