Ways to Pay

We provide many options to fund your education – from paying course by course to financing your entire degree by making low, fixed monthly payments with no interest. See which payment option works for you.

Pay as You Go

With this option, payment of tuition and applicable fees would be due as you submit each course registration.  American Sentinel University accepts the following methods of payment:

  1. Credit/Debit Card (Visa, MasterCard, and/or American Express)
  2. Personal Check

This option eliminates the need for financing, and because you pay as you register you are in control of your account.

3 Month Payment Plan

All Powered by SIMPath® programs, Certificates (term based), Digital Credentials, DNP (non-bridge)

With this option, you can finance your tuition using a monthly payment plan.  American Sentinel University offers you this financing at 0% interest with no additional finance charges.  To start, you will be required to make a minimum down payment equal to one quarter (1/4) of the total tuition amount.  The remaining amount is split into three equal and consecutive monthly payments.

9 Month Payment Plan

All term-based programs except DNP (non-bridge)

With this option, you can finance your tuition (9 credit hours minimum) using a monthly payment plan.  American Sentinel University offers you this financing at 0% interest with no additional finance charges.  To start, you will be required to make a minimum down payment of $500.00.  The remaining amount is split into nine equal and consecutive monthly payments.

Financial Aid

Financial Aid (Title IV) is any combination of federal student loans and grants supplied by the Department of Education to assist students in paying for college.  If you choose to utilize financial aid to pay for your tuition and fees, the first step is completing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  The FAFSA is your application for financial aid and the school will use it to determine your aid eligibility.

You can get a head start by filling out your FAFSA here. Our school code is 041277. Please note: it does take 72 business hours for us to receive your FAFSA and we do need this on file before we can complete your enrollment.

Other Ways to Save

Do you have previous experience? You might be eligible for life experience transfer credit or test out options. Need to take general education course? We have a low-cost alternative for that too. Check out the other ways we can help you save.

Tuition Reimbursement

Many organizations who provide employer tuition reimbursement require their employees to first complete the course prior to disbursing the reimbursement. To assist students with such a tuition reimbursement policy, American Sentinel University offers the benefit of deferring payment for a course until after the course has completed allowing a student time to secure their reimbursement. In lieu of payment, a completed promissory note must be submitted at time of registration. If you are unsure if your employer/organization is partnered with the university, please contact an Admissions Advisor at 1.866.922.5690. If you meet the conditions above and are approved to use a promissory note, a valid debit/credit card must be provided on the promissory note. The university will automatically charge the card provided thirty (30) or sixty (60) days after the course completion date depending on the terms listed on the note. Ultimately, it is the student’s responsibility to understand their organization’s reimbursement policy and to ensure they meet the criteria to receive reimbursement.

Transfer College Credit

American Sentinel accepts transfer credit for courses completed at a post-secondary institution that is regionally or nationally accredited (as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education). This can be determined through the Council for Higher Education Accreditation website. Our evaluation committee will take the time to assess the value of educational work completed at no charge. Learn more about Transfer Credits.

We’re here to help you find ways to save. Our admissions advisors are available to guide you through our options. Call us today at 866.922.5690!
